In parallel,
based on production, technical and stylistic know-how, an idea
has been developed for men's and women's leisure clothing and
footwear with a sport-inspired image and taste in terms of the
selection of fabrics, colours and styles. The same know-how has
been exploited to give a new thrust to the junior clothing and
footwear collections, with the launch of the Air Zone line designed
to maximise kids' comfort and health in all their activities.
Underwear, stationery and cosmetics with Lotto branding are also
manufactured and distributed under licence by third-party companies.
Lotto today
distributes its products in 80 different countries, through independent
sports article stores, specialised chain-stores and large stores
with specialised sports departments. Special emphasis is given
to developing corners and flagship stores, which are now as widespread
in Italy as they are abroad.
In Lotto's
history, major sponsorships have always been the keystones to
success stories. This tradition continues today, in football with
"Ballon d'Or" winner Andriy Shevchenko, the World Cup
winning Brazil team captain Cafu, Clarence Seedorf, Luca Toni...
It also forges ahead with teams, ranging from Fiorentina, Palermo,
Udinese, Treviso and ChievoVerona in Italy, Borussia Mönchengladbach
and Mainz in Germany, Real Zaragoza in Spain, Sochaux and Toulouse
in France, NEC Nijmegen in Holland, the Pumas of Mexico City,
as well as the Ukrainian, Colombian and Serbia & Montenegro
national teams.
Sponsorships
are used in tennis too, through Lotto's technical partnerships
with the ATP, the WTA Tour and Wimbledon. The ATP and the WTA
Tour are the top two associations in professional tennis and Wimbledon
needs no introduction. Lotto has been present at the Italian Open
in Rome for more than thirty years. Lotto has never missed the
Grand Slam tournaments and the nine Master Series, and will be
increasingly present at them. Felix Mantilla, Dominik Hrbaty,
Davide Sanguinetti, Conchita Martinez, Sania Mirza and the winning
ladies' doubles Ruano Pascual and Suarez, are just a few of over
120 tennis professionals who are now play using Lotto wear. The
"double diamond" logo is thus seen in force on the professional
scene, backed up of course by intensive local promotion campaigns,
which bring countless footballers and tennis players to wear a
series of products by Lotto. |
