Kelme Tiburon Shark E-mail

Kelme Tiburon Shark is the first soccer boot to be made from un-tanned shark skin, utilising the benefits from the matrix of tiny over lapping and hard tooth-like structures called 'dermal denticles'.

Amazingly the denticles are built on the same engineering principles as the most durable of man-made compounds such as fibreglass and reinforced concrete, and due to their unique microstructure the denticles are almost as tough as granite and as strong as steel.

The denticle structures on the skin point backwards along the boot and are shaped like 'curved grooved teeth', making the skin very tough and almost sandpaper in texture, giving both increased protection and traction during play.
The natural structure of the opposed sharkskin fibres also makes the leather extremely water repellent, very flexible, superbly strong and much lighter than conventional leather. Said to be between 7 and 11 times stronger than conventional leather, the Shark skin is lighweight and more repellent to taking in water.  It has a sandpaper like feel to it but this gives great traction on the ball.  Kelme's flot system in the insole gives great cushioning from heel to toe.

Used by the likes of former Liverpool defender Josemi, Aston Villa defender Jlloyd Samuel, Marcus Stewart and La Liga stars Alessio Tacchianardi, Raul Bravo and Oleguer.
